Lyssa-Jenness

Lyssa-Jenness Roselli is an Executive Advisory Board Member with About The Kids Foundation. A proud mother of two, Lyssa-Jenness brings over 20 years of experience in the fields of Speech-Language Pathology, Education, and as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.

With a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Lyssa-Jenness has spent the last 13 years providing speech therapy to youth in the San Jose area. She is also a United States Air Force Veteran with strong ties to her community and love for her country.

Currently, Lyssa-Jenness is working in the Cambrian School District of San Jose. Lyssa-Jenness creates and conducts speech and language therapy for students with such disabilities, catering to each individual student, who require different approaches based on their individual needs. Along with helping the students through therapy, Lyssa-Jenness collaborates with the administration, parents, resource specialists, and psychologists to provide the best support and achievement of long-term goals for each individual student. Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, Lyssa-Jenness worked as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician and Program Specialist. Working alongside psychologists, Lyssa-Jenness provided direct care and guidance to individuals with severe disabilities. She is an advocate for social awareness of disabilities in various campaigns around the Bay Area.

Lyssa-Jenness earned her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2003 from San Jose State University, following her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2000. In 1991, Lyssa-Jenness graduated from Mission College as Valedictorian with an Associate of Science degree in Psychiatric Technology. Lyssa-Jenness remains active in both the California and American Speech-Language-Hearing Associations, as well as the California Teachers Association. She has also received the following certifications: Certificate of Clinical Competence, CCC-SLP (ASHA); California State Licensure (Speech-Language Pathology, Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board); Clinical Rehabilitative Services Credential.

A San Francisco Bay Area native, Lyssa-Jenness enjoys spending time with her family, jazz dancing, and hiking.
