Jorge M. Barriere
Jorge M. Barrière is an Executive Advisory Board Member with About The Kids Foundation. He brings a global reputation with 21 years of military reserve and active service with the United States Air Force, currently assigned to the 129th Rescue Wing, California Air National Guard, as a Public Relations Liaison, and Human Resources Officer. In 2008, he deployed to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Qatar, for Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, as well as to the former Soviet Republic of Turkmenistan as part of a State Department envoy forging a new relationship with Iran’s northern neighbor.
As a civilian, Jorge brings executive level experience with Bank of America, as well as a wide range of entertainment industry background, having worked with acts like Dr. Dre, Maroon 5, Fiona Apple, the Jonas Brothers, Jason Mraz, Alejandra Guzman, and Rebelution, to name a few, and numerous companies, most notably CAPCOM, the Coachella Music Festival, Hollywood Records, and Rogers & Cowan, in numerous capacities.
As an educator, Jorge was an instructor, curriculum developer, and career advisor at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California, specializing in Artist Management, Touring, and Social Media Strategy. He currently sits on the Advisory Board, and guest lectures occasionally, for the Music Management program at his alma mater, the University of the Pacific, in the fields of Marketing, Career Development, and Artist Management, and volunteers from time to time with the Civil Air Patrol, a non-profit auxiliary of the US Air Force.
